Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair in Snohomish and King County
Breakers that keep tripping, dead outlets, lights that flicker, or half the house going dark. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts, and fix it so it stays fixed.

Real work, installed safely and to code.
Panel rebuild, wiring diagnostics, and feeder replacement in progress.
Tracing overloaded feeds, loose neutral connections, and damaged branch circuits inside the panel bay to restore safe, code-compliant power to the entire house.
What this actually involves
If you are seeing sparks, smoke, or a burning smell, or your panel feels hot, stop reading and call us right now. Those are fire signs, not a wait-and-see situation.
Most troubleshooting calls are less dramatic: a breaker that keeps tripping, an outlet that stopped working, lights that flicker, or half the house going dark. None of those are normal, and all of them have a cause.
We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts. A tripping breaker usually means a real overload or a fault on the circuit - resetting it over and over doesn't fix what's wrong. We trace it, test it, and repair it so it stays fixed.
Common culprits are loose connections, a backstabbed outlet that's failed, a GFCI that's tripped and taken downstream outlets with it, or a neutral problem that leaves half a circuit dead. We diagnose before we quote.
Signs you need this
- A breaker trips repeatedly and won't stay reset.
- An outlet or a whole strip of outlets is dead.
- Lights flicker or dim for no obvious reason.
- Half the house lost power but the breaker isn't tripped.
- You smell something burning or see discoloration at an outlet or switch.
- A switch, outlet, or the panel feels warm.
What affects the job
Price depends on what we find when we come out. These are the real variables for troubleshooting - knowing them makes the estimate call easier.
- How long it takes to find the fault - some are quick, some take tracing.
- Whether the repair is a single device or a section of wiring.
- Whether the circuit is old enough that a broader fix is the right call.
- Access - how hard the problem is to reach behind walls or in a crawlspace.
What to have ready
- 01When the problem started and what was running when it did.
- 02Which outlets, lights, or rooms are affected.
- 03Whether anything changed recently - a new appliance, a storm, work done.
- 04A photo of the panel and any tripped breakers.
Frequently asked questions
My breaker keeps tripping - can I just hold it on?
No. A tripping breaker means there's a real overload or a fault on the circuit. Holding it on or replacing it with a bigger one removes the safety that's protecting the wire. Let us find the cause first.
Half my outlets are dead but no breaker is tripped.
That's often a tripped GFCI upstream that's taken the rest of the circuit with it, or a failed backstabbed connection. It's a common call and usually a quick fix once we find the break in the line.
Is flickering always serious?
Not always, but it shouldn't be ignored. A single light flickering might be the bulb or fixture. Lights flickering across a room or when an appliance starts can mean a loose neutral or a service problem. We test to tell the difference.
I smell something burning near an outlet.
That's a fire sign. Turn off the breaker for that circuit if you can do it safely and call us right away. Don't keep using the circuit. Burning smell, sparks, smoke, or a hot panel are all call-now situations.
